Ada’s  Atlas

Hi, I’m Ada.

I like observing. The shape of a tree against the sky, the color of the sea in different cities, a sunset reflected on a building, or simply the way light falls on an ordinary street.

​

Painting, for me, is a way of staying with these moments a little longer. Sometimes I remember a place precisely because of moments, when the 4 p.m. sunlight shines through the window, and my free-flowing watercolor happens to capture it.

​

I’ve always loved the thought that a stranger might stop in front of something I created, just as I have stopped in front of other people’s work without knowing them. We may never meet, but for a few seconds, we might be looking at the same place through the same pair of eyes.
